Good Summer Vacation

 GOOD SUMMER VACATION

Personally don't like to define things as my favorites, but in honor of this blog, I think my favorite vacations were in in Valdivia, in 2015 with my family.

Even though those vacations were a long time ago, I remember them fondly because my sister and my younger brother were alredy relatively older, this made the trip more entertaining as we were able to wander many places on foot and even long hours at night. 

I remember that we arrived very early in the morning, we looked for a hostel to stay for two weeks, we found a nice house on Teja island. In the hostel they also sold breakfast, lunch and dinner, everything was homemade food prepared by a very loving and kind grandmother who cooked everything very exquisite!. After having breakfast at the hostel, we leave our bags, get ready and go to the center of Valdivia by bus, when we got to the center, we went trough the central market and saw many sea lions on the banks of the Calle Calle river, it was impressive to see these animals from so close and it was evident that only tourists were amazed by this, because the people who sold and bought in the market did their things as if nothing happened, very calm. 

After looking at the sea lions we decided to take a catamarán ride, like the one in the photo, the trip along the Calle Calle river was long and they told us that we would arrive at an island where there was a traditional fair for lunch.  The tour was incredible we passed trough a protected natural area and we saw man, y black-necked swans and their litlle babies, everything was beautiful. On the island we ate lamb roast, we visited an old church and we were resting for a while under several giant trees. 

When we returned from the catamarán ride we were impressed with so much natural beauty everywhere and friendly people, but we were very tired, the day had passed vey quickly and we went to sleep at the hostel, that day was amazing! And de other days continued just as entertaining and with a lot of nature. 

I totally recommend traveling to Valdivia!!
